Kritische Beurteilungen bekommen wir auch:
Bei unserem ersten Rundgang durch den Ort [Playas del Este] und am Strand
entlang waren wir entsetzt. Viele Häuser waren nicht bewohnt und waren dem Verfall preisgegeben und die
Häuser die bewohnt sind, waren mit meterhöhen Zäunen und dicken Vorhängeschlössern gesichert.
Wir fühlten uns wie in einem Hochsicherheitstrakt. Es waren kaum Menschen auf der Straße und
wir fanden auch nach langem Suchen kein Restaurant, dass zu einem gemütlichen Abendbesuch einlud.
Am schlimmsten aber war der Strand: zahlreiche Bauruinen standen dort, viel Bauschutt lag am Strand,
verrosteter Baustahl ragte an vielen Stellen aus dem Sand (große Verletzungsgefahr) und es lag überall
Müll herum. Die Stimmung war bedrückend und wir wussten, dass wir dort keinen Tag bleiben wollten.
Wir hatten uns noch auf drei erholsame Tage am Meer eingestellt, aber nicht in einer solchen Umgebung.
