Casa Mamuchi in Boca Ciega is located about 300 meters from the beach
Pleasant, quiet location for an afternoon nap: music of the beach visitors doesn't reach here.

• Boca Ciega is a beach area between Guanabo and Santa Maria del Mar. There are about 20 Km to the City of Havana. Taxis are waiting to take you along, but also city bus No. 400 (no seat guarantee on the bus though ;-). Much better transport option to Havana City is a tourist bus from a nearby hotel.
  
• Telephone use (inside Cuba). We call the taxi for you upon request
  
• Your birthday falls in the time of your stay at La Mamuchi? Let us know this while making your reservation. Your host will be happy to prepare a free meal for you on that special day.
  
• Price: 245 US$ per week. Two persons pay the price of one. Stays under 7 days are possible but subject to extra fee

... After 3 nights we went to Ana, Casa la Mamuchi !! She has a small pool !! She has prepared each morning us a delicious breakfast, our bed was freshly made every 2 days, with her it is much cleaner than in a 4 star Hotel. And for dinner she has always come up with something new!! Ana is always cheerful and has dinner cooked for breakfast with fresh fruit juices. The rest in their Casa is sensational. We have often satin the afternoon on the porch and relax on our leave !!

We stayed for 7 nights as Anna's guests and she made us feel very welcome. The house is about 5 minutes walk from the impressive beach and is surrounded by palm trees. Anna is a warm, helpful and very friendly landlady. She has conjured up the great joy for our son every morning puting his favorite food on the table and otherwise provided us with a rich and opulent breakfast. Staying with Anna was perfect for 3 people and we have spent a lot of time every day on the porch to look into your beautiful garden. We would always want to be a guest there again!

I stayed for two weeks at the Casa Mamuchi and I truly do not regret it! Anna is an excellent hostess and always helpful. Since I had no desire to go to eat to Guanabo every night, I have asked them to cook for me . The breakfast (the coffee is great ) was already very good, but the dinner was excellent and way too much for me.

The apartment is excellent and very generously furnished. Anna's son Pepe was so kind and gave me attached my mosquito net over the bed, which was , however, also necessary. The bus service both to Guanabo and to Havana is excellent. The only thing that really bothered me was the traffic noise, even at night , since the buses and the main road to Varadero are constantly heard. Helped as have my earplugs ... Absolute peak was the beach ! One can perfectly swim, the water is gorgeous and the sand wonderful!

I had a very nice time and have gained a few kilos ... Thank you, dear Anna !

Hola Cuba-Traveller .. we have experienced at Casa Ana our best 2 weeks holidays! Your host in la casa mamuchi is stunning friendly (like the rest of the population) and is always concerned about the welfare of the guests. Ana immediately makes you feel at home and she leaves nothing to be desired (if it is within hrr power).

In particular I want to let everyone know how beautiful it is when one comes from of the trips back "home" and will be greeted immediately with a smile .. and the general question of how you liked one. In such moments, we are once again happy that we didn't book a hotel, and we also have the feeling anyway to be able to empathize with the locals, which was supposed to be the goal of our trip anyway. The beach is only a short hop and 1000% tourist-free, which makes it an easier again to relax.

The bus stops right down the road and then some if doesn't, because he is too full already, plenty of taxis drive by .. so you don't have to wait long to get in any direction. Taking the bus is at least once is a must!

About safety, I can only say that on the beach, as everywhere, there really good police check and you must not have "fear" more than in other countries. We had in no way gathered have bad experiences, on the contrary! No begging on the beaches and in the village (is mostly visited by holiday-making locals anyway).

Just gorgeous, would not hesitate to return there and we prefer the Casa la Mamuchi in Boca Ciega over any hotel in Cuba! Have fun in Cuba and hopefully in Ana's house.

I spent four days in May 2012 in the Casa Mamuchi. Ana cooks like no other! I've never eaten so well. I had the good fortune to spend my birthday and at the Casa and got a beautiful cake. The Casa is located very close to the beach, although I would not recommend women traveling alone to go alone to the beach. I prefer mingling with the tourists on the beach of Santa Maria. In the hotels in Santa Maria, which are accessible from the Casa very quickly, you can use every day the tourist buses to Havana. Casa Ana is very well equipped ... we have our own little kitchen and its own TV. And Ana is also very helpful and answered every question you and makes suggestions for the trip. A nice stay ... but do not forget mosquito spray!

Ana kann kochen! Welch eine Abwechslung f¨r sonst ziemlich fade kubanische Küche. Lage hervorragend, man nimmt gerne einen Strandspaziergang in Kauf, um zum Touristenbus nach Havanna zu kommen. Das schöne Haus ziert gepflegter Garten, zum Essen auf der Terasse kommen sogar Kolibri. Das Appartament bequem und geräumig, auch f¨r Amateurköche bestens ausgestattet ( aber wozu: Ana kann kochen!).

Liebe Kuba-Fans,

während unseres zweiwöchigen Kuba-Aufenthalts im Mai 2008 haben wir in der Casa Mamuchi/Boca Ciega gewohnt. Wir können nur Gutes berichten: von der Lage her ist Boca Ciega optimal; nur ca. 20 km von Havanna entfernt und bequem per Bus oder Taxi zu erreichen. Des weiteren gehören die Playas del Este unserer Meinung nach zu den schönsten Stränden auf Kuba. Der Sand ist weiß und fein wie Puderzucker, das Wasser türkisblau und das Wichtigste: nicht von Touristen überlaufen.

Das Casa selbst wurde jeden Tag geputzt und unsere "Gast-Mutter" hat uns jeden Tag ein sehr leckeres Frühst¨ck zubereitet, das wir auf einer Terrasse umgeben von Mangobäumen einnahmen. Unsere Gastgeberin war die Freundlichkeit in Person und trotz unseres Mangels an Spanischkenntnissen hat sie sich sehr große Mühe gegeben, auf unsere Wünsche einzugehen. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt also auf jeden Fall! Sehr zu empfehlen!!!
